I was planning on putting the new Back to the 80-s disc to use with my friends&family this Christmas and New Year's Eve, but unless there's a fix coming, it's not going to happen

EDIT: Forgot to add that - just like casper2k6, I've also upgraded my hard drive to 750GB from the standard 80GB. Other details:

PS3 firmware version: 4.00

SingStar version (for all discs/viewer): 5.13

Disc code versions:

BCES-01257 (Back to the 80-s)

BCES-00494 (Queen)

BCES-00381 (ABBA)

I'm afraid there are still 2/4 songs of my songs that still crash (but only if you play them in a two player mode) however I'd say 95% of my songs do actually work.

Hi guys,

In regards to those having issues downloading the latest 5.13 patch, has anyone tried the current advise of waiting for the access HDD light on the front of the console to stop flashing, and then attempting the patch download?

For those that this does not work for, do you know of the previous patch downloaded prior to this (ie what patch would you be on at the moment?)

It works !

Just had to wait like 2 or 3 minutes. The yellow hdd light will stop and the Singstar Menu song start, and you can press OK to download the patch.

I've downloaded patch (and waited for HDD light to stop before continuing) however Back to the 80s will not connect to the online server. Downloaded same patch for other SingStar titles and they work fine, but 80s just will not connect online. Is this a known issue?

Hi folks, has there been any movement on the fixing of folks who have over 700+ songs, it really is a pain everytime I go to fire it up and not sure if the  next song choice is going to hang my system.

Is the problem caused by the fact that Singstar uses one big file for the collection rather than individual song files like say Rockband.

Is the database of songs becoming corrupt as each extra song is added to it, sometimes the album/single art for the songs becomes corrupt.

Is there anything else we can do other than delete our downloaded patches and render some of our library unusable.

If there is anything else we can do to help support diagnose the problem let us know because we want the games to work and enjoy the amount of songs we have downloaded.
