The SingStar viewer, allows you to view and rate the SingStar community performances, as well as allowing you to view and buy the downloadable tracks off SingStore.
If you’re already a member of the SingStar community, you will be able to upload your own videos and rate performances of others once you’ve viewed them.
If you are new to the world of SingStar, this is a great way to see what you have been missing out on. You will be able to view performances from the SingStar community hall of fame, the most recent uploads or even the hot picks of the week.
From the main menu of the SingStar Viewer, you can access the SingStore to view and download songs that take your fancy.
You can also access "My SingStar Online", which takes you to your SingStar profile, showing your uploaded media and comments you have received.
From your profile page you can view and engage with all the other SingStar players by selecting "SingStar scene".
From the SingStar scene page, you can vote in the latest quick poll, join or create your own SingStar club with your friends, browse the SingStar community profiles or just view the SingStar media that has been uploaded by going into the "community gallery".
From the community gallery page you will be able to view the latest and best audio playbacks, video playbacks and snapshots. You can also rate content and view the profiles of the players who uploaded them.
If you are looking for a video\audio from a specific player you can press the "L2" shoulder button on the PS3 controller, and you will be able to search for particular profile or media.
To check out specific SingStar player's profile, you will simply need to change the search type to "Profile", and then press the "Square" button to enter the text of the profile name in the relevant section. Once this is done, the viewer will search for you and will show you the results of the search.
You will then be able to enter that player's profile and view their uploaded media and comments.
There isn't any need for a SingStar disc to use the SingStar Viewer, and it's completely free! Go to PlayStation Store to access the ever growing SingStar shenanigans, all direct from the PlayStation 3 XMB (XrossMediaBar).
when I first saw this in the PS-store, I was psyched 
I thought my hopes had finally been answered and we finally had the ability to just view the songs we have bought and downloaded.
sadly that is not the case.
however I would like to express again that this would be an awesome addition to the SingStar experience.
I would surely by many more songs from the SingStore if I could not only sing the songs in SingStar but also just listen to the music at my leisure.
also the ability to export bought and downloaded music to mp3 format so we can listen to it away from my PS3 to would make the purchase of more songs sooo much more justifiable.

Have a look through the previous threads in here with a title that looks similar to the problem you have and you will see that if you have bought a new PS3 you will have to call Sony Customer Services to get them to deactivate them on your old PS3.
